A wedding and the wedding ceremony is one of the most important days in life. If your "Big Day" is approaching inevitably, it is worth, amidst trying on dresses, choosing cakes, and other essential things related to its planning, to start thinking about glassware for the day of the ceremony. Both the type of glass you need and the quantity are of great importance. You should carefully consider what drinks will be served at the reception and, perhaps most importantly, the scale of the entire event.

The amount and type of glassware you need primarily depend on the preferences of each guest. Ideally, you should consider what each guest will drink. Will it be mainly alcohol or non-alcoholic beverages? We know that this is practically impossible to determine because we simply do not know all the invited guests. Therefore, you should prepare for every eventuality.

Types of Wedding Glassware.

Water Glasses.

Regardless of whether your guests will stick to only soft drinks and water or will consume alcoholic beverages, ensure that water is plentiful on the tables. Each guest will need at least one water glass. If your wedding is informal, choose simple, classic tall glasses. However, if it is a classic wedding reception, we strongly recommend water goblets. A very important element of the wedding table setting is the vessel in which the water will be. We suggest elegant, not necessarily colorless carafes.

Champagne Glasses.

Champagne glasses are slender and have small openings that help retain carbonation. A tall and elegant champagne glass is an indispensable element at the start of every wedding reception.

Red Wine Glasses.

Red wine glasses have a deep bowl and a large, open cup, which allows for faster oxidation of the wine and is very important for tasting it. The wider the cup of the glass, the larger the surface area of the wine releases its aromas – it is said that the wine "breathes" better then.

White Wine Glasses.

White wine glasses have smaller mouths and bowls than red wine glasses. This prevents the wine from oxidizing too quickly. White wine usually has a less complex taste and aroma, not requiring as much surface area inside the cup. It is believed that too large a cup surface can even harm our sensations during its tasting.

Cocktail Glasses.

Cocktail glasses with large bowls and a conical shape are used for serving cocktails without ice. The large bowls of these glasses allow drinkers to fully savor these delicious drinks.

Lowball Glasses.

Lowball glasses are short, wide glasses intended for strong spirits such as whiskey or bourbon.
